Year-on-year operational growth described in the XBS Logistics case study.

01 / Challenge

The season cannot wait for space.

The home and garden customer's sales are highly seasonal, peaking from March to August. Container deliveries build up before the season, and around 40% of the range consists of bulky products such as furniture, pergolas and tents. The customer needed a model combining inventory growth, order handling and protection of non-standard goods in transit.

02 / The XBS solution

Space, teams and transport adapted to the season.

  • Flexible warehousing and efficient receipt of container deliveries.
  • B2C and B2B orders and returns in one operating model.
  • Dedicated transport solutions for bulky and long items.
  • Protective packaging that reduces damage and the resulting returns and complaints.
03 / Result

Sales growth with operational support in place.

XBS helped the home and garden customer manage seasonal peaks and scale B2C and B2B operations. Adapted warehousing and transport supported sales growth, including abroad, while careful product protection helped reduce damage and costly returns.
